8-8 is possible. I have set no real high expectations though. We could win 6 games. I am pretty sure about that.

The good news is the Jets season is starting and I am looking forward to it!

6-10, if we can go 4-12 last year with everyone practically injured, look for their record to be around 6-10. If they can do 7-9, I will think Mangini has gotten the most out of the rebuilding franchise.

8-8 or 6-10 really would be the almost the results in the end. I am less worried about winning games and more about improving as a team. If we loose 2 more games but we are in them at the end thats fine with me. We are not a playoff quality team this year. I am just happy we are looking at the big picture and not just a season

As someone else posted....Vegas has us as favorites to be better than 6-10...for those who feel that we will be worse than 7-9, there is obviously some good money to be made

The odds I saw have the Jets at 5.5 wins, with only San Fran with less (5.0). Looks like theres money to be made!

8-8 is the best case scenario. I still think it's not going to happen at all.

There's just no talent on this team. As good as some of us feel about the draft picks and the younger guys coming up (which is justified, we're allowed to feel good about these guys) when you compare us to, let's say the Dolphins (who actually were around .500 last year like some of you envision us to be) and it's not even close.

    Culpepper > Any Jet QB
    Brown > Martin/Houston
    Chambers/Booker > Coles/McCareins
    McMichael > Jolley/Baker

And even though the Dolphins line isn't anything to write home about, they're still better than what w put on the field. And last year THAT team went 8-8 with a decent defense. You could make an argument that our defense can hold our own compared to the Dolphins, but our offense is terrible (but with good young upside down the road) that you can't really expect anything more than 5-6 wins. We just don't have the personell right now. End of story.

When you look at the weaknesses of some of the teams at the tail end of the schedule, barring injuries and if the team can really come together under Mangini I'd say 8-8 isn't entirely out of the question. Everyone knows the offense has issues, but the defense has the potential to be pretty good, especially with the new schemes Mangini will bring to the table.
