We could draft and sign two for the price of one D'Brickashaw, and still use that first pick on a playmaker. That is my reasoning. The player gets paid by the spot he was picked. At the 4 spot how much money would be guaranteed to D'Brick? I would rather give that signing bonus to a playmaker and you will get solid OT's later in the draft and more for the price of one.
Fair enough, but there is a reason Brick, and Justice are projected to be drafted way earlier than other Tackles in the draft. I feel like some people think O-line is easy to fix, just get some fat strong guys and plug them in. No, being a large, athletic, talented o-lineman like Brick or Justice is not a dime a dozen. You get what you pay for and when it comes to the most important piece of the team, I think it makes sense to get the best that money can buy.
