Why are some fans so pathetic and whiny that they approach sports like high school gossip and are more worried about seeing their team get blowjobs on sportscenter than watching them win? There are some mysteries in life we can only hope to grasp eventually.

Talking heads talk to make money, most of the time not because they really give a shit about sports, so who cares what they say anyways? Are you really going to wake up sometime in January after a big Jets playoff win and say oh thank christ that Mike n Mike on espn is finally giving Mark Sanchez his deserved rimjob, because it really makes a fucking difference to me? And I think the whole premise of this is kinda off anyways. Sure, a lot of people are giving Belichick and Brady the benefit of the doubt going into this game but I think a decade of dominance and a 9-2 record can justify that. Let's not pretend that nobody thinks the Jets are in this game- everyone expects it to be close and that's why we have so much hype.
We get that you perceive value on both those counts. But consider this - they really have no value. Neither of them. Who cares? There's a disconnect in your perception. You obviously think the talking heads and writers who are doing what you are complaining about are wrong. Yet you seem to value their opinions. If they are wrong, if they tend to come to the wrong conclusions, why do you care about their opinions? Call me crazy, but I tend to value the opinions of people who tend to be right.
