    Oh,, now I see

    You can't trade your #1
    You can't trade Schaub
    You can't trade Crumpler.
Your major assets are off the table

But you want our major asset.

    Wow..what a reasonable trading partner

A pop-warner team could have dominated us last year. It wasn't that hard to do.

Hey, I'd trade Brooking straight up in a heartbeat. He's our defensive captain and has more Pro Bowls that JAbe since that's the factor on figuring our assets. Honestly, I'd assume your best defensive asset is Vilma. Just my opinion. Your going 3-4 and need a LB more than an undersized DE.

Not when you have such a generous OL like we have. It is our biggest liability at this time but a killer "D" can fix it somewhat. Not allowing opponents to score VS getting sacked a few times but managing a score or two just on talent for now can win some of those games you'd otherwise get beaten in.

He played OLB in college and played a 3-4 OLB his rookie year under Al Groh. Why would he ride the pine in a 3-4?

Don't you think you are throwing the word "cancer" around very loosely? If Abe is a potential cancer, I wonder what disease TO is.

If he stayed, I think that Abraham would get PT because he is a playmaker. However, He is not very good at LB. Not a single team that wanted him was running the 3-4. He has a hard time dropping into coverage and he is way to small to play DE in a 3-4. He's a pass rushing DE and that's all.

Cleveland inquired about him...And they run a 3-4.

You should have used this one.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/statistics?stat=pass&sort=sack&league=nfl&season=2&year=2004

That's when Vick ran over 900 yards and came in 2nd all time for rushing QBs. The downside to that is he has to make the first man in the backfield miss and he failed to do so 46 times. However, it did get us to the Championship game. That stat went down on the one you posted due to his hamstring injury. He ran alot less so learned to throw the ball away more. If you really believe he's so easy to sack you should consult with the DEs around the league that have faced him. I bet they will have a different view of how easy it is to get your hands on Ron Mexico.

anyone think he can be nearly as effective as a 3-4 Rush backer or a DE as he can being in the 4-3?

Oh yeah, how classless of the Jets to try to get a decent value for their best defensive player and an elite DE.

And do you know who promised Abrahan his long term contract? It was Bradway and Herm, and they are long gone. The new front office is under no obligation to live up to the words of their predecessors.

    True.. I forgot about them..

I'm just saying.. I remember him in the 3-4 under Groh.. I wasn't impressed at all. If he plays anwhere other than NY it would be a slim chance of seeing him in a 3-4.

Your Defense got you into the Championship game...with a little help from Vicks legs...lets face it...he cant throw a pass for his life...Antwaan Randle El is a better QB than Vick...at least he can hit the wide open receiver

again...lets try to stay on topic..if your gonna pick your battles with me..the least you can do is attempt to defend what im smashing your team about...otherwise i see you got nothing

Do you guys really feel he's your best defensive player? I would have thought Vilma was the gem in the rough there. If he does become a Falcon I don't think he'd be our best Defensive player. Rod Coleman and DeAngelo Hall are pretty good at what they do. He'd definately be top 5 with Kerney and Hartwell though. I always felt Shaun Ellis was pretty good as well but I can see ranking JAbe above him. But Vilma?

Vilma is our best player. Abraham is our best PLAYMAKER. IMO
