And of course the article is written to make it seem like a slap at the Jets, when it isn't at all. Like you said, he's just telling the truth. Wilfork lauds Jets' moves, but 'the game is played between the lines' "Hey -- the game is played between these lines out there," Wilfork said, motioning to the Gillette Stadium turf a few feet behind him. "They're making moves. They're making great moves, but at the end of the day the game is played between the lines. We can only control what the Patriots can control." http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/extra_points/2010/04/wilfork_lauds_j.html
I think it would have been bigger news if he had said "holy shit, we're done." But he was right, if the chemistry isn't there, it doesn't matter if every position is filled by a pro bowler. How well did all those big names work out for the Redskins the past 10 years?
true that but might as well enjoy now that we, at least, look good! you've got to love the hardworking ethic of mark sanchez though!
I'll tell you what I'm not fazed by- Wilfork's new contract. Now that he's got that 18 million dollar signing bonus under his belt and 25m guaranteed- I'm not as worried about Wilfork showing up every week. -X-
What an asshole and classless remark. He in fact does say that the Pats can only worry about what they are doing. Oh, I see... you're one of those Jets fans that jumped on the boat this past January...
