I watched the line and seen a few holes Greene could have went through and got 7-15 yards but he kept running into LB's, he has no vision, no elusiveness, he's a finisher use him late in the season to punish worn down teams, when guys are fresh Greene is useless
I just looked up that Fitzgerald is 29...just turned 29 a couple of weeks ago. Seems like he's been around forever. In fact, this is his 9th season. The guy was young as shit when he was drafted. As we all know, shit is pretty young. He couldn't drink a beer when he was drafted according to the math. He cut plenty of school corners on the way into the league. I bring up some interesting facts (hopefully) because Fitzgerald ain't for sale.
For each one of these plays you mention there's 3 where he's getting gang raped at the LOS. I do think he's better off as the number 2 change of pace back to someone more explosive. I just think its funny most people here assume ANYONE can do better.
nope due to his large contract...plus we need to fill other holes assuming hill/kerley/holmes perform like they did yesterday
I guess you missed our rookie WR with better measurables than Fitz pickup 90 yards and 2 TD's in his rookie debut?
Not in a million years. Put down the crack pipe. Did you see thrill Hill, Holmes, Kerley yesterday...our WR corps is now as good as our CB corps.
that might be a bit of a premature statement. But i agree with you in that the answer to the question is no.
BEN TATE Ive been saying this for a while... I would trade anything aside from a first in terms of picks to get this guy; preferably a 3rd and something else. But this guy would solve our run game woes.
Funny, right after a game where our receiving unit excelled, somebody brings up trading for Fitzgerald. Why? What need does that fill? I'm pretty sure every receiver scored yesterday except Holmes who was literally 1 inch away from a TD in that play and Schillens who didn't play all that much. It's good to see him involved, though. No we don't need Fitzgerald, and it's def not worth trading 2 1sts for.
