Yes, they do it to everyone since forever. Teams hate them for it, that's why Brady laughing at only 17 points will always be a classic. That plus no cheating that game thanks to Mangini.
Apparently, the only one making sense on this thread was banned today. That's dumb. Personally, I would have banned every poster who claimed they'd prefer to face the Pats, assuming the choice existed, ie, the road to the Super Bowl did not pass thru Foxboro. Seriously, what do you people smoke? Why in baby Jesus's name would you want to face this team again. What, Monday wasn't enough? You think me, a Pats fan, would treasure a rematch with Cleveland? Hell, no. I don't care if I think the Pats would demolish them, I care that they outclassed the Pats in every which way once already. I'm not a sadist. Give me the easiest road to victory and I'll take it every day and thrice on Sundays.
I want a rematch. The patriots are a classy, talented, and well coached team but that score on monday does not tell the whole story. I think we have the talent and determination to beat the patriots i just think monday was not our night. We looked nervous, unorganized, and quite frankly we didn't show up. But if we get on a hot streak we can beat the pats and any other team in the nfl.
Are you Rex Ryan? The Jets have beaten one quality team this year, and in the rematch they were throttled, embarrassingly so. Don't believe the hype. The Jets may have an improving team but they're not going to beat great teams as long as Sanchez is asked to control games because his RB's aren't good enough to do so themselves. Unlike what sexy Rexy wants to think, the 2010 NY Jets are NOT his fathers defense.
After last Monday, I'd be perfectly happy if the Jets potential road to the SB didn't involve the Pats. It would be twice as sweet to beat them, but it would also seem there is potential for another ass-whooping. That would be hard to take.
Good point here... if they happen to cross us on the way to our goal, so be it. I still want the rematch bad but if we win the big game at the end... that game will be meaningless.. ** But imagine if we win the superbowl and dont play the pats along the way... I be every analysts will be like "Jets lucky to win SB due to not playing the Pats".. LMFAO
------------------- "Are you Rex Ryan?" U seem to know that ths team is definitley doomed against NE if we play again. "Don't believe the hype" ok.... the main hype around the jets is that we are not elite, cant beat "quality teams", have a washed up running back, a fake defense, stonehand wide recievers, a 2nd year "rookie" QB.. the list goes on. Thats the hype right now and has been the hype from the beginning of our season till now. I think it might be better to believe Rex if your a Jets fan.
Hell fucking yea! Because i want payback for that trashing. It always suck when you lose like that, but it's 10 times worse when it's against a rival Plus, let's say, by some miracle, we go on to win the superbowl. We will never hear the end of it from the Pats fans if we don't play them on the way to that superbowl. The will all say the only reason we won is because we didn't play them My dream scenario right now is, we win out, then we win or first round, we beat the Ravens in the 2nd round, we beat the Pats in the conference championship & we beat the Packers in the superbowl lol But that's all it is tho, a dream. We're not going to get to no damn superbowl
Looking back on this thread, it's a shame how many Jet fans didn't want another rematch. The wins might be harder but they feel so much better. SB will have either Bears or Pats which is another revenge game. Only thing I'd change with this current playoff run is to replace Steelers w/ Ravens
Not me...I'm still pissed about losing to the Steelers in the 2004 playoffs. Hopefully Folk doesn't pull a Doug Brien this time around.
