I expect Dillon to double that total Sunday. Even when he doesn't get much yardage, he's been money in the red zone.
Jet's defense isn't getting enough credit. Here are the stats over the last eight games. The Jet's defense is BETTER than the Pats defense over that period of time. NYJ Rushing 117.5 Passing 186.6 Total 304.1 Points 12.7 NE Rushing 113.2 Passing 171.3 Total 284.6 Points 15.3
Less points which is obviously the most important, but I think if NE can rack up the yards against us there going to capitalize when there in the redzone.
Wow they really don't get enough credit. That's an impressive stat.Just goes to show how great our defense has been the 2nd half of the season.
those #s are skewed a bit, NE did play tougher teams and were in closer games so that's why the rush #s look close. Against Hou, GB, Min and Oak we were up big and they stopped running. I'd like to see the YPC from the last 8 games- I'll look it up.
I was wrong about the attempts as we faced about the same # of attempts but we did give up half a yard more per run. NE faced 204 rushes for 905 yds(4.4 YPC) while we faced 192 rushes for 938 yds(4.9 YPC). The bottom line is our run D still stinks.
Teams cant score on us in the redzone (running the ball). Thats the whole point. I dont care if we give up 100 or 1000 rushing yds a game as long as we stop them in the redzone. The only rushing TD we gave up in the last 8 games was a stupid bigrun by McGahee.
12.75 points per game would be 2nd in the league (if we're talking whole season), only behind Baltimore's 12.
