I was around during CBB season, admittedly I did not have much good to say. . . But I posted after Duke lost to UNC in Cameron, and after they lost in the tourney, and I occasionally came into the trenches to defend the ACC and call out Hackett on his statistical cherry-picking. I also participated in the bracket challenge, and did a running tally of the BE and ACC's results in the dance and the NIT. I just hope you had a TV where you were, to be able to watch the FF had the Heels made it. . .
Do I really have to spell it out? You call out Shade for worrying about the Yanks, meanwhile you are posting anti-Mets stuff in the Mets thread.
I had TV, I had a computer but I was on vacation and I cannot spend time talking on MBs. I was possibly going to go up to Atl for the FF had the Heels held on.
so your saying i cant do it? im doing it once just to get back at shade thats all, shade knows what im doing, ummm. do i even know you?
call me out? WTF. i did it once not continously and your calling me out, damn ASSCHEEKS if you need attention just start a thread.
Haha...this thread will have 10 pages complete before the first pitch of the first game is ever thrown.
I don't think any pitchers the Sox have worry the Yankees except maybe Kamikasi or whatever his name is. He won't either once they have seen him once. They never seem to have trouble with the others. Besides, our Japanese pitcher is 1-0 and yours is 1-2. Ours is a 5th starter and only cost half as much. That should tell you something about the difference in lineups.
I wouldn't start counting the chickens yet. Josh Beckett is suddenly a major leaguer again. Schilling, no matter when he fails, or how badly, is still Schilling, and at any time can turn it on and mow down batters. Dice-K has still been good in his starts. Has he been mow 'em down phenominal? I don't think so. However, he's still pretty damned good, and he's going up against a guy with exactly 1 professional start. I'll be honest, I fear Boston's rotation. Their lineup not so much, except the obvious two in the heart.
I didn't miss it. I'm just saying let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. I just don't want us getting all hyped up, thinking we're going in and blowing them out of their own house, then we walk out of there with our tails between our legs. Of course I want us to pull out the brooms Sunday night. That would rock. I just doubt it will happen.
I think the 2 players that will be under the most pressure are Dice-K and A-Rod. Can they both perform in the big rivalry?
Oh, I have no doubt we won't do well this weekend with the starters we have going Saturday and Sunday. If we do then Boston is much worse then anybody knows at this point. I'm just saying when we have our normal starters againbst their normal starters I would expect us to do better because of our lineup.
I don't think our success hinges too much on our pitching. Except for Ortiz and Manny, I don't fear Boston's lineup. I think our problem is going to be hitting off their starters. If we can jump out to early leads, we stand a great chance of winning. If we don't...
Haha..we might be better off falling behind and letting our bullpen take over. They are lights out. (except that one stupid pitch by Rivera)
I know you're just joking, but I have nightmares about falling behind Boston. That's one team you have to jump on early.
