funny thing is after tonight i still know the mets are a better team.... and i also know alay soler needs to be released during the all star break because he aint work jack...a half way decent starter and the mets are winners tonight...the yanks were handed the game right back...alay was our 3 option and it shows...time to make a move for a starter...
with soler pitching it could of been kaz matsui, mo vaughn, and rey ordonez and the mets still blow the lead

our pitcher couldnt hit the strike zone if he tried...he freakin walked 2 men on, and decided not to cover first to load the bases...thats mental retarded errors....and that is the story of his recent starts.... no your ace wasnt on the mound but alay soler with a 4 run lead still managed to fuck it up royally which is my point....with a trade (which will happen) to aquire a jamie moyer like pitcher will stop that loss from happening...which is why im not worried ebcause this guy is our 3 option to start in that spot...my point is no matter how many runs the mets gave alay he would of blown it
I'm still not too sure if that makes the Mets the better team,but I hear what you are saying. It's kinda like Randy Johnson blowing the game yesterday by throwing the first pitch.
While factoring in who is the better team don't remember to include the fact that the NL sucks. If you were watching the game tonight you saw the graphic about how much the AL dominated the NL in interleague play. The Mets should win the division.. because it sucks... basically they have one good team in their way.. the Cardinals. After that there are no really good teams in the NL. Ha.. actually there are more good teams in the AL East than in the entire NL. So while all you Mets fans enjoy your huge lead over the scum that occupy the NL East remember that if you make it to the World Series you will be facing a real baseball team.
Thats so true, but that being said the Yanks are only 1 1/2 games worse than the Mets even tho we have a billion injuries, the Mets play in a shitty league, we play in a stacked league, and our pitching blows. Id say the Yankees are doing a pretty good job. But the Mets are the best team in the NL, even tho that isnt saying much

Oh man. Sick fight happened 2 rows in front of me. This one kid, who was absolutley buzzed, was basically just looking to start shit. (Met Fan, btw). And these 3 hispanic guys were sitting, there, looked to be father, son, and brother. The kid was just pissed at the world, and told some guy to fuck himself when he went through the aisle. So, the kid goes to smoke a cigarette, and the hispanic father says something, and next thing you know, the guy is up throwing punches, and cursing him out. Went on for a few minutes before security came. The guy's friend was trying to seperate them, and security came and kicked both of them out, but not without the guy trying to fight security, and actually punching one of the guards. His friend was flipping out because he was just trying to break it up and he was being ejected to, and he began throwing punches. The guy was being pushed up the aisle by security and being thrown to the ground constantly as he tried to go back for more. It was ridiculous. Oh, and today I got my first foul ball! Awesome. It hit a rail on the staircase, the ground, jumped and I managed to get it. Valentin hit it in the 2nd inning.
Umm no pitching+ half of ur lineup out= tough games. The NL is inferior period. The Mets are doing well but dont try to be defensive about the NL being inferior when it is proven fact
Correct! It was a very competitive 6 games and we came out even. Even had the Mets won last night and won the season series it wouldn't mean the mets were better and if we had won Sat and won the season series it wouldn't mean we are better. Both teams are very close and who is ultimately better will be determind a few months from now.
Great breakout game for the Yankees last night. It was exactly what they needed especially Arod. Now maybe the media will lay low for a bit. I am amazed that Myers was actually able to go 2 innings. I think after the frist batter he looked at the dugout and wondered why Joe wasnt on his way out to pull him. Torre had to go with Proctor at the end. Smith went 2 yesterday and Beam 1 plus the one tonight. With Villone being a god tonight the only other relief pitchers besides Proctor were Farns and Mo and the only way either of them were getting in is if the game got to 4 run difference. Now at least Farns and Mo are ready to go tonight and they both can go 2 innings each since they have had 2 days off. Sox won again so its still 4 games. :sad:
