I would.... I think we got fortunate today only because it's CC. I don't see AJ as lights out as he was his last game on short rest.
hahaha, no kidding. "In MY day we had to make our own bats before the game. When there were no trees to be found, we had to use the severed limbs of malaria victims....and we LOVED it. The bases were live porcupines! When you slid into second you'd get porcupine needles shooting up your thigh and dick-hole...and you were HAPPY to be playin' baseball, dadgummit!"
Absolutely true. Every time I hear postgame interviews with him, I marvel at his stupidity. Hey, he was one of the "idiots", so I guess it makes sense.
Pitching Gaudin would be just fine, I have faith the same pitcher won't shut us down twice especially it being his first time in a WS and the game being extremely crucial this time around!!!!
I'm fairly sure Damon has a speech impediment which is why he would sound that way. The Posada/Molina question is tough but I think you have to stick with Molina after the way Burnett pitched the last time out. However, I'de be quick to pull Posada off the bench if the Phillies put up some runs.
I don't know what you guys are talking about, starting Gaudin would be a terrible idea. He's thrown 1 inning in the past month and was never that good to begin with, and you're gonna hand him the ball on the road in the World Series? Give the ball to Burnett (who was great in Game 2 and has a great record on short rest) and finish the Phillies while they're down.
This. And if it doesn't work out, everyone rests tomorrow, so the pen can be used tonight. Then Andy goes at home on Wednesday. Honestly, I can't understand what is with people worrying about AJ or Andy, even on short rest. What has either of them done this year to make you worried? They've both had a small handful of bad starts, and neither has had one in quite a while. Short rest right now means squat. There is no tomorrow. No one except CC can have another start after Wednesday. Now it's all hands on deck. Forget Gaudin. The only way he should see the field is if the Phillies score 25 tonight and Lee pitches like he did in game 1.
LOL...Damon said, "I'm just glad when I started running, I still had some of my young legs behind me." http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ge-arodclutch110109&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
no game is a throwaway in the World Series. you have a chance to clinch, you put your best players on the field, and if it was the idea to go with Burnett today regardless of the series standings, you go with him and wrap it up.
