Using tonight as the reason why Burnett shouldn't have pitched tonight is ridiculous. Gaudin would have had to throw the ball underhand to get strike calls. This series was artificially extended tonight, and I am flat out angry about it.
This is exactly why you don't do it w/ Burnett. CC is a beast and can do it but this was clearly a bad move and one I didn't support.

Bullshit. He was awful because he was forced to throw meatballs for strikes, and had to go to a curve that wasn't on to keep out of batting practice. It's fucking bullshit.
I must also say that If you scroll up - I didn't support the move - I have been on this ump since the git. Yeah, Gaudin woulda been given the same zone or non zone but it's the fact AJ would be fully rested!!! That's the main point.

Yeah well if Gaudin pitched and lost then we have a fully rested AJ at home and not a short rested Pettite.
