He was their week 1 starter last year. I had him on 2 of my fantasy teams that are bigger leagues. He got a lot of carries, but if I recall correctly, had only like a 2.7 average or something quite horrible. I read he got released yesterday on my Playerline app, and thought hmm I wouldn't mind taking a shot on him. Then today I get up and see we signed him lol.
Damn, we are loading up on running backs. We are gonna have one potent running game. Holy shit! Ivory, Johnson, Powell, and Richardson? Wow
Interesting, I've seen him called his cousin and brother. Maybe he's technically a cousin but grew up like bothers? I'm sure we'll find out soon.
Surprised. I wouldn't think we'd need him at this point, and would have thought he'd choose another team for that reason. I'll take it though!
I texted my buddy about our depth now, and all he could really say was we have a lot of depth..a lot! On paper as of now this is I'm pretty sure how it looks: 1. Chris Johnson 2. Chris Ivory 3. Bilal Powell 4. Daryl Richardson 5. Mike Goodson 6. Alex Green
We waived Alex Green in the corresponding move. I wonder how many backs we going to carry this season. Between Chris Johnson never missing a game and all the uncertainty at wr, rather carry an extra WR than carrying 5 backs.
Wonder if we could get a pick for Powell..if Bryce Brown got the Eagles a 4th we should be able to get a 5th for Bilal.
Not a bad depth signing but you'd hope he gets very few touches because Ivory and Johnson remain healthy.......
Depth and competition .... the more the merrier. Those who remain standing will have earned it. This is a direct challenge to Powell, and I never viewed Green as anything more than a body.
5 backs meaning 4 running backs and 1 fullback? Or 6 backs with 5 running backs and 1 fullback? Johnson and Ivory are locks. As much as we all love Powell I'd say he'll be battling with Richardson and Goodson for last 1/2 spots. I'd rather carry an extra receiver than 4 backs as well.
