Hope he slides all the way to us. I'd sign up for a Chad minus the shoulder surgeries in a heartbeat. We'll likely be drafting at 10 or so. Similar to last year. As much as I want to surround a QB with talent before we draft him, if Teddy drops to 10, we'd have to jump on that.
Bortles rising reminds me of Blaine Gabbert a few years back Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
This happens a lot though. Teams are desperate at QB and guys who are in the 64 pick mix are floating all over the place even weeks after the combine. Here's the list of all QB's picked from the 4 pick to 16 pick in the last decade: 2013 - E.J. Manuel 2012 - Ryan Tannehill 2011 - Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert, Christian Ponder 2010 - None 2009 - Mark Sanchez 2008 - None 2007 - None 2006 - Matt Leinart, Jay Cutler 2005 - None 2004 - Philip Rivers, Ben Roethlisberger Now if you look at that list what it says is that unless you have a really deep draft at QB the value is really going to be in the top 3. There are 10 QB's taken between 4 and 16 over the last decade and 2 of them have been really good and they were both taken a decade ago in a draft that everybody saw as very deep at QB. The only other proven starter in the range is Jay Cutler and he's on his second team for a reason.
the talk about johnny football's ego are just annoying. he's a product of the media clearly, he's a normal ncaa athlete and there is no doubt about it. he brought some of it on himself initially, but now everything he does is publicized and it's annoying. you draft him strictly off of his football talent, not his "personal issues", which aren't even issues
Blake Bortles btw is a freaking Junior playing in what used to be Conference USA last year. If he's a top 10 pick then something is really wrong with the overall talent in college football this year.
I can't see any scenario that Teddy drops to 10. There are going to be about 6-7 teams seriously looking for a QB that will either grab him at their slot or trade up for him. _
