Jesus christ, stop nitpicking. If someone were to post a congratulatory post for losing, say the Baltimore game, I'm sure we'd litter it with excuses about penalties and playcalling everywhere. Lay off the guy, he's not a fan of our team.

The Steelers have outcoached Rex Ryan in the past...and I am fully confident they can do it again in the playoffs.

Just like you guys are confident your team is the best. I have a lot of faith in my Black & Gold. I also have a hunch we'll meet again this year when it matters and I like our chances in that one.

I do think you are a good non Jets fan poster.....that said:

Lmao that Revis play on the last drive was perfect coverage. He was breaking for the ball with his head to the QB just like the WR.

I am sorry anyone whining about that coverage is a fucking idiot or a fucking idiot homer.

Other than that the refs let them play. My beef with the refs was their horrible spotting of the football. That did benefit the Steelers and I am not talking about that phantom first down.

The play over the middle where he ran into him early? Contact is contact, whether you are looking back or not.

Curtain...the fact of the matter is the win over the Steelers, for the Jets, was far greater than the loss to the Jets, for the Steelers.

The Jets needed that game a lot more than the Steelers did.

You guys will be fine. Hopefully one of us takes care of New England in the POs.

No the play where he had perfect coverage, you are whining about. I watched 15 times you are being a total homer.

Completely agree, you guys needed it a lot more. I am convinced you guys are going to shock the Pats in the playoffs to book your ticket to Pittsburgh for the AFC Championship game.

Final play of the game...Cromartie has his hands all over our receiver in the front of the end zone. Just like he did all game. Well past the 5 yard cushion. Be glad they decided to let the players "play the game"

So you are actually whining about that play, a play where the Steelers WR had a handful of jersey too? Yeah it really is great the refs didn't call it...........

To cover well? Getting in as good as, if not better position, to make a play than the opposing WR then yeah that is the secret.

Bitching about solid coverage and holding by both teams players, I will leave to you.

When the Jets lose they generally deserve to, at least this year. I don't subscribe to the theory of acting like a woman, when the Jets lose. I let my wife do that.

Both Jets games I've had the fortune of watching this year have featured tons of holding by the Jets defenders. Against Baltimore they called it. Against Pittsburgh they didn't. You guys lost to Baltimore as a result.

Revis is a solid cover guy, I am far from impressed with Cromartie.

Your hands can be on the receiver, as long as you're not stopping him from getting to the ball when it is on it's way. Revis was clearly playing the ball, and playing the ball, not grabbing the jersey, will keep you from getting a PI. It's airtight coverage. Once the ball is there, he's allowed to stop him from making the catch.

Agree to an extent about Baltimore. The refs were a bit ticky tacky that game. The major penalty to give the Ravens a TD was a deserved call. Eric Smith/Kyle Wilson (I honestly can't remember the specific player) was all over the guy and his head was not turned around and it happened in the end zone........... Penalty for sure.

I have to re-watch that game, I have not. I usually re watch them all. I do remember 13 penalty's and the Jets were guilty on a bunch but there were some that wouldn't be called by 90% of the crews in the NFL.

Baltimore had this specific crew the year before and they called even more on them than they did the Jets that day, I think it was 17.

The Ravens practiced specifically for this crew. Baltimore was very well prepared that day.

That being said the Jets offense was pure horseshit that day and that is on the coaches for playing scared (offensively).

Aside from that, I completely disagree about the penalties and reffing Sunday.

Both teams benefited from non calls. I honestly can't see how you can say otherwise. There literally was a Jets defensive lineman being dragged down on almost every passing play, not to mention the blocking in the back etc. etc. They let that shit go. They did the same the other way. I don't see the big deal. If the Steelers won, I would not say that was the reason the Jets lost though. It was a close game and the reason the Steelers lost is the Jets played a more complete game, not a non call here or there.

As far as Revis and Cromartie.....

With respect to Revis being "solid", If by "solid" you mean the best cover guy, by fay in the NFL, I agree. Revis, btw can be used in a lot of different ways but Rex chooses to use him strictly for coverage.

Cromartie, is the same as any above average but not elite corner. He does well on some plays and not so well on others. He is a great athlete but soft. He is a very difficult player to comment about. He can be otherworldly and ordinary on the same drive.........
