Oh look. Zach Wilson with consecutive days of (Training Camp) practices consisting of multiple TDs and 0 INTs.
Don't you guys know the Drill? In 2021 Wilson will struggle and struggle some more just to to torture us and make Joe Douglas lose a week of sleep With 4-5 regular season games under his belt the Kid turns it around and Jets get through an inglorious 8-9 Season ...with Gods grace we go 9-8 Growing pains..just live with it
Now back to back to back 3 consecutive "training camp practices" with Multiple TDs thrown and 0 turnovers from the kid Rookie.
its kinda easy though when the offense coaches ask the defensive coaches to move their pass rusher to the other side so Wilson can throw without a guy chasing after him. Can we at least acknowledge that? I want Wilson to have days where he struggles so he can learn. I do not want them to take it easy on him though just so we can cheer the silly "no interceptions today" like its an accomplishment. -- Florio yesterday: Saleh wants experience for his players; he pointed out the team has 30 players with no preseason experience, given that the pandemic wiped out the entire preseason in 2020. Wilson definitely needs the experience. He craves, as he should, the opportunity to test the limits of what he can and can’t do at the next level. That’s how to prepare for the games that count — and it’s the polar opposite of the breathless reporting from six years ago (yes, it’s been six years) about how many practices Marcus Mariota could go without throwing an interception.
Maybe they moved Lawson to give Becton a break and boost his confidence. Ever thought of that? Yeah. That part. He's an inexperienced rookie who's yet to throw a single preseason pass. He's been without his starting LG in Alijah Vera-Tucker. His #2 WR in Denzel Mims has been sick and still recovering. His favorite weapon so far in Elijah Moore missed 95% of practice yesterday. Michael Carter is just a Rookie. His OC Mike LaFleur is a Rookie NFL OC and play caller. Etc. Etc. You ever thought about those parts? The kid has gone 3 consecutive practices without a single turnover + 3 consecutive practices of multiple TDs thrown. Nothing you can say. No matter how hard you try and spin it, can ever change that.
This is funny. Bad practices, good practices, stats during practice, int etc. Is a meaningless. Only Zach and the coaches know at this point how he is doing or how he is doing according to expectations. Watching and judging as a fan from camp and presesaon is like judging a QB based on a pro day. We will not know really where he is at until we see him in game 1. Bryce Petty even lit it up in a preseason game.
All things being equal I would think most Jets fans in their heart of hearts would prefer Wilson light it up than the opposite.
Make that 3 consecutive practices without a single turnover + his first ever preseason game without a single turnover. = 4 appearances in a row without a single turnover.
Stop listening to Rich Cimini. Zach Wilson (2 games). 16/20 (80.0%). 191 Passing Yards. (9.5 yards per pass attempt). 2 TDs. 0 INTs. 0 sacks. 0 fumbles. QB Rating of 120.7. #FollowDWC.
