Jets slightly raise in power rankings

Admin - December 8, 2009

The New York Jets moved up slightly in power rankings after notching two wins in a row. ESPN raised their stock by 2 points (from #21 to #19), as did CBS Sports (from #20 to #18). FOX Sports had the Jets up only one spot (from #20 to #19).

Here's what the top 3 websites had to say about the Jets:

ESPN:  If Mark Sanchez has to wear any more knee braces, he'll look like a catcher.

FOX Sports: All sliding jokes aside after the Jets brought in the Yankees skipper to teach their young QB how to skid properly on scrambles, the Jets hope their kid QB Mark Sanchez can play this week after another crash landing and can help avoid sliding (never said anything about puns, just punchlines) in the AFC playoff chase. With the Colts and Bengals looming in Weeks 16-17, it's safe to call the Jets' upcoming games vs. the Bucs and Falcons "absolute must-wins."

CBS Sports: They kept their playoff hopes alive last week against the Bills. But now the concern is Mark Sanchez and his knee.
