Admin - December 12, 2002

AP reports that three separate fights broke out at the Jets' practice on Thursday. First, OT Jason Fabini and rookie DE Bryan Thomas began shoving each other after a play. Minutes later on a reverse play C Kevin Mawae leveled Thomas with a hit that left him lying on the ground. Moments later DE Shaun Ellis sent OT Chris Smith flying to the ground with a violent hit, sparking a fight of about 15 players.

Additionally, it was reported that one of the Jets' offensive linemen could be charged with assault in the third degree for assaulting a Long Island limo driver Monday night outside an East Norwich, NY, steakhouse.
