The New York Jets signed SS Rashad Washington of Kansas State to an undisclosed contract.
Washington, a 7th round pick, is the third draft choice signed by the team. He was the 236th overall pick in April's draft.

Johnson signed a 4-year contract worth a total of $1,418,000, which includes a $38,200 signing bonus. His base salaries are as follows: $230,000 (2004), $305,000 (2005), $385,000 (2006), $460,000 (2007).
