Injuries

Season might be over for Evans

According to the Star Ledger, DT Josh Evans will undergo an MRI next week for a severe pain in his back and the Jets fear he may need season-ending back surgery for a bulging disk that is pinching a nerve.

Evans, a 9-year pro, is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at San Diego but won't play. He hasn't practiced all week.

Evans has played in 23 games in his 3 seasons with the Jets and recorded 49 solo tackles and 7.0 sacks. Last week he assisted on one tackle against the Bengals.
