Anderson to retire as Jet

Admin - February 2, 2006

The New York Jets announced yesterday that they signed FB Richie Anderson who intends to retire as a Jet. Anderson spent his first 10 seasons in the league with the Jets. His best year was in 2000 when he caught 88 passes for 853 yards and scored 9 receiving touchdowns.

It's also rumored that Anderson and another former Jet, LB Bryan Cox, might serve as position coaches next season.
