Martin retires, all draftees in camp

Admin - July 26, 2007

According to the New York Post, RB Curtis Martin is expected to make an official announcement about his retirement on Friday when the team starts their practice sessions. Martin missed the 2006 season when it was discovered he had a bone-on-bone condition in his right knee, which was injured in 2005. He's #4 on the all-time rushing list with 14,101 yards and 70 rushing touchdowns.

The Jets are also expected to have all their draft picks in camp, including their first-round pick CB Darrelle Revis, whose contract details were said to be in the finalization process. Second-round selection LB David Harris signed a 4-year deal yesterday for about $3.5M.
