Jets & Sanchez reach contract agreement

Admin - June 10, 2009

The New York Jets have announced that they signed their first round draft pick QB Mark Sanchez to a 5-year deal. The contract is reportedly worth around $50M, which includes $28M in guaranteed money.

Sanchez, 22, was #5 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. The Gang Green made the biggest Draft Day trade in their history in order to move up to #5 and select the quarterback.

With the signing of Mark Sanchez, the Jets now have only one draft pick without a contract - RB Shonn Greene.
