Morning stream – Clemens throws another interception

Admin - August 5, 2009

This morning TheGangGreen.com introduces a new series of articles called "Morning Stream", which will include Jets-related news from around the Internet blog sphere. Hopefully, I'll be able to keep this thing going on a regular basis and, as always, if you want to contribute in any way, please drop me a line.

So, here we go... QB Kellen Clemens threw another interception in this morning's practice session. This time his pass was deflected by CB Lito Sheppard and then picked off by FS Kerry Rhodes. Clemens appeared to have improved his game in the last few sessions, but still continues throwing interceptions here and there.

QB Mark Sanchez, meanwhile, is getting more and more comfortable in this offense. He hasn't been interception prone like Clemens, but keep in mind that he's been out mostly against backups.

RB Leon Washington now thinks that there's a good chance that his contract extension will be done soon. It's essential for the Jets to keep Washington, as he's been an integral part of the offense and special teams.

RB Shonn Greene joined NT Kris Jenkins on the sideline, as he injured his right ankle on Sunday. FB Tony Richardson is also missing today's training session with a hip pointer.

The New York Jets seem to be getting desperate trying to sell season tickets for the upcoming season. They are now offering 20% off and a few other perks for joining the waiting list and buying season tickets for the 2009 season.
