Injuries

Both Sheppard and Strickland out against New Orleans

Admin - October 2, 2009

Head coach Rex Ryan has announced that both CB Lito Sheppard and CB Donald Strickland are going to miss Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. Both players got injured two weeks ago against the Patriots. Sheppard has a quadriceps injury, while Strickland is out with a high ankle sprain.

This is obviously a tough pill to swallow for the Jets secondary who will be facing one of the best passing attacks in the league. Just like a week ago against the Titans, CB Dwight Lowery will start and CB Drew Coleman will play at nickel. Despite working out CB Corey Ivy and former Jet CB Justin Miller, the Gang Green haven't signed either one so far.

S Kerry Rhodes posted on twitter that he is "Not feeling so good 2day."

We'll have final injury report available later today.
