Jets Regular Season

Jets lead at halftime

Admin - October 12, 2009

The New York Jets took a 13-10 lead right before halftime as PK Jay Feely converted his 22nd field goal attempt in a row. Recently acquired WR Braylon Edwards scored the only Jet's touchdown - a 3-yard pass from QB Mark Sanchez.

Sanchez has looked pretty shaky thus far - 8 of 14 for 75 yards. Despite having plenty of time to throw most of the time, he has missed open receivers on several occasions.

The defense started very badly, allowing scoring drives on the first two Miami possessions. But they seemed to have settled down as the first half progressed. NT Kris Jenkins was instrumental in stopping Miami's last two drives.

WR David Clowney finally saw some action - 3 catches for 19 yards.

The Jets will get the ball first in the second half and scoring on the opening possession might be essential to winning this game, as playing from behind is not really what this Miami offense is designed for. The defense has to finally get to Miami's inexperienced quarterback and create some sacks and turnovers.
