Jets Regular Season

Time to pull Sanchez?

Admin - November 1, 2009

It's halftime and the Jets are tied, 3-3, against the Miami Dolphins. QB Mark Sanchez has looked just horrible, missing open receivers and muffing a snap late in the second quarter. He's 8 of 16 for 54 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT. Would QB Kellen Clemens be a better option at this point? It just can't be worse. Sanchez also almost threw an interception, but WR Braylon Edwards was able to knock the pass down. Of course, benching Sanchez would greatly affect his confidence, but isn't winning games more important?

RB Thomas Jones has looked pretty good, rushing 49 yards on 12 carries. The defense did a great job stopping Miami's running game - just 14 rushing yards, and also sacked Henne 3 times. This game is definitely in Gang Green's hands, but something has to be done about the offense.
