Time To Pull Sanchez?

Time To Pull Sanchez?

It's halftime and the Jets are tied, 3-3, against the Miami Dolphins. QB Mark Sanchez has looked just horrible, missing open receivers and muffing a snap late in the second quarter. He's 8 of 16 for 54 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT. Would QB Kellen Clemens be a better option at this point? It just can't be worse. Sanchez also almost threw an interception, but WR Braylon Edwards was able to knock the pass down. Of course, benching Sanchez would greatly affect his confidence, but isn't winning games more important?

RB Thomas Jones has looked pretty good, rushing 49 yards on 12 carries. The defense did a great job stopping Miami's running game - just 14 rushing yards, and also sacked Henne 3 times. This game is definitely in Gang Green's hands, but something has to be done about the offense.

yeah ok... he sucked the entire first half and then took a sack on 3rd and 6 at the end of the game.... way to go!

It was never time to pull Sanchez. I love MOST fans are expecting him to be some sort of quarterback god. This team was never a Super Bowl caliber team and it was probably not a playoff team...especially now without Washington and Jenkins. Let him grow up as a quarterback - he played a hell of a game today.

Bench him??? Come on the offense and D played fine it was the special teams that lost the game today. Sanchez played maybe his best game yet.

No, this is supposed to be our franchise guy. Benching him would be the worst thing right now. Is Clemens really gonna make a difference? I think not. Sanchez's confidence could take a hit that may effect his entire career if we benched him now. We didn't lose this game because of Mark. We lost this game because of our ST (suprisingly). Mark's making rookie mistakes. Remember, he left USC after only what? 16 starts? He needs to learn from experience. If he does and grows up like he should then he will be a star in this league for years to come. He shows flashes of stardom.

Phins are terrible. I'd be shocked if they win 3 more games the rest of the season. And, NO WAY do we bench Sanchez. He's made some rookie mistakes, but remember, Peyton Manning led the league in INTs his first season and look at him now.
