Jets vs. Jaguars final injury report

Admin - November 13, 2009

CB Lito Sheppard will not start on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars despite being able to fully participate in all practice sessions this week. Head coach Rex Ryan said that "Even though he’s practiced fully, I don’t think Lito’s all the way back yet. We’ll evaluate and see how much he plays. I think we’ll start Dwight Lowery." So, CB Dwight Lowery, who has started in 4 games this season, will start again against Jacksonville.

As we reported yesterday, LB Vernon Gholston will not play, even though he's officially listed as "doubtful."

Recently signed CB/KR Justin Miller averaged 23 yards per return against the Dolphins and, according to Rex Ryan, will most likely be replaced either by CB Dwight Lowery or WR Brad Smith.

Here's the complete injury report:

New York Jets:

Doubtful: LB Vernon Gholston (hamstring)
Probable: DE Shaun Ellis (knee), CB Lito Sheppard (quadriceps), WR Brad Smith (quadriceps), CB Donald Strickland (ankle), OT Damien Woody (back), WR Wallace Wright (knee)

Jacksonville Jaguars:

Out: TE Ernest Wilford (ankle)
Questionable: S Gerald Alexander (shoulder)
Probable: DT John Henderson (ankle), RB Maurice Jones-Drew (knee)
