Jets Free Agent Signings

Jets sign kicker, Feely expected to be let go

Admin - February 23, 2010

The New York Jets have signed former Dallas Cowboys PK Nick Folk. who make the Pro Bowl as a rookie in 2007. The Gang Green signed him to a league minimum one-year deal.

Folk will apparently take over for veteran PK Jay Feely, who will become an unrestricted free agent. Last season, Feely hit 30 of 36 field goal attempts and appeared to be a favorite of coach Rex Ryan.

Folk, meanwhile, hit just 18 of 28 field goals last season and missed eight of his final 11 attempts before being released.

The Jets will probably sign another kicker, or re-sign Feely, to compete with Folk in training camp.
