Jets Free Agent Signings

Clemens signs tender, Washington keeps waiting

Admin - April 13, 2010

Restricted free agent QB Kellen Clemens signed his tender contract offer from the Jets on Monday afternoon. Clemens received a 3rd round tender despite being drafted in the 2nd round, as the Jets used 2nd round tenders on RB Leon Washington and WR Brad Smith. Clemens will make $1.176M this season.

Meanwhile, RB Leon Washington continues to wait for offers from other teams and refuses to sign his tender. The deadline is on April 15, so Leon has 2 more days. After the deadline all unsigned RFAs must either sign their current team's tender offer sheet to remain with their team or wait to see if they will be dealt in a trade.

CB  Drew Coleman still hasn't signed his offer sheet either, but reportedly he's going to.
