Mangold undergoes MRI, will miss next game

All-Pro C Nick Mangold underwent an MRI this morning, which confirmed that he suffered a high ankle sprain and no additional damage. Mangold injured his ankle in the first quarter of Sunday's 32-3 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars. As of now, there's no timetable for Mangold's return. The team will have to monitor the injury and see how it progresses. However, he's been ruled out for next game against the Oakland Raiders. He will most likely miss at least 2-3 games.

Rookie C Colin Baxter replaced Mangold and played pretty well. If Mangold is out long term, the team might look into signing a veteran free agent center.
