Jets sign Geno Smith, workout two wide receivers

On the day rookie are due to report the New York Jets signed their second round draft pick, QB Geno Smith, to a 4-year contract worth around $5M. First round draft picks, CB Dee Milliner and DT Sheldon Richardson, are the only Jets rookie who are still unsigned, but their deals are expected to be done shortly.

The Jets are also working out several veteran free agents today. The biggest names are WR Austin Collie (Colts), WR Laurent Robinson (Jaguars) and PK Billy Cundiff (49ers). Collie suffered a season-ending injury in the third week of the 2012 season. Robinson also suffered a season-ending injury and was later released by the Jaguars, despite signing a 5-year contract before the 2012 season.
