The New York Jets began signing undrafted free agents that will attend the upcoming rookie mini camp. So far the following rookies have been signed by the Gang Green:

Deion Barnes, DE, Penn State; Durell Eskridge, FS, Syracuse; Jake Heaps, QB, Miami (FL); Julian Howsare, DE, Clarion; Taiwan Jones, ILB, Michigan State; Wes Saxton, TE, South Alabama; Greg Henderson, CB, Colorado; Jordan Williams, DE, Tennessee; Betim Bujari, C, Rutgers; Alex Mateas, OL, UConn; Kevin Thomas, LB, Wofford; Antonio Johnson, OT, North Texas; Bill Belton, RB, Penn State; Drew Ferris, LS, Florida; Davon Walls, DT, Syracuse

DE Deion Barnes from Penn State appeared in 13 games in 2014, registering 6 sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss. He started 10 games in 2913, while in 2012 he appeared in all 12 games, with eight starts.

FS Durell Eskridge from Syracuse is a big safety at 6'3" and 208 lbs. He had 68 tackles (47 solo) in 2014 and 1 interception. He had 4 interceptions in 2013.

QB Jake Heaps played for BYU, Kansas and Miami, FL. In 11 games with Kansas in 2013 he completed 128 of 261 passes for 1,414 yards, 8 TD, 10 INT.

DE Julian Howsare from Clarion registered 86 total tackles and 9 sacks in 2014. He also blocked 3 kicks, forced 3 fumbles and recovered 2. He played DE in college but is projected as a 3-4 OLB.

ILB Taiwan Jones from Michigan State was expected to be drafted in the fourth or fifth round. He has a prototypical size for a linebacker - 6'3", 245 lbs. In 2014, his first year as an ILB, he had 60 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 2 passes broken up, 2 INT and 2 fumble recoveries.

TE Wes Saxton from South Alabama led his school with 50 receptions in 2013 but declined in 2014, catching just 20 passes for 155 yards.

CB Greg Henderson from Colorado had 4 INT and 10 defended passes in 2013. In 2014 he picked off one pass and defended 11.

DE Jordan Williams from Tennessee had 27 tackles (15 solo) and 2 sacks in 2014.

RB Bill Belton from Penn State ran for 526 yards in 2014, averaging 4.2 yards/carry. He had a better year in 2013 when he gained 801 rushing yards with a 5.1 yards/carry average.
