Catanzaro returns for second stint with Jets

PK Chandler Catanzaro, who played for the Gang Green in 2017, has been signed to a 1-year contract to replace departed Pro Bowl PK Jason Myers. Catanzaro, 28, converted 25 of 30 field goal attempts for the Jets 2 years ago. He was also a perfect 29 of 29 on extra points. Last season, he was 16 of 20 on field goal tries while playing for the Panthers and Buccaneers. Catanzaro holds the Jets' record for the longest field goal. He converted a 57-yard attempt against the Browns in 2017.

The Jets also officially signed WR Josh Bellamy. It's a 2-year deal with a maximum value of $5M, including $2.75M in guaranteed money. The guaranteed part includes a $1.82 signing bonus. Last season Bellamy caught 14 passes for 117 yards, 1 TD while playing for the Bears. His best year was in 2017 when he made 24 receptions for 376 yards, 1 TD. Bellamy's biggest contribution, however, is on special teams, as he's particularly effective on kick- and punt-coverage units.
