    The Jets addressed one of their immediate needs in round 3, as they selected DE/LB Jachai Polite from the University of Florida at #68 overall. Polite, 6'3", 258 lbs, registered 11 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss in his last NCAA season. He has an incredible first step around the edge along with the burst and flexibility to become an impact pass rusher in the NFL.

    Jets select Quinnen Williams in first round

    The New York Jets selected DT Quinnen Williams from Alabama with their first round selection in the 2019 NFL Draft. Williams, 6'3", 303 lbs, recorded 71 tackles (45 solo), including 19.5 tackles for loss and 8.0 sacks, last season for the Crimson Tide.  According to the Pro Football Focus, Williams had the highest production grade ever for an interior defensive lineman.

    The Adam Gase era will officially begin on September 8th when the Gang Green hosts the Buffalo Bills in the 2019 season opener. Then, in Week 2, the Jets will play their first prime time game, as they host the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football in what is expected to be another Darnold vs. Mayfield showdown. The bye week will come two weeks later, in Week 4. On October 21st, the Jets will be involved in another Monday Night contest, this time against the Patriots. The battle of New York will take place in Week 10 when the Jets take on their crosstown rivals, the New York Giants. The third and final prime time appearance will come in Week 15 when the Jets travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens on Thursday Night Football.
