It looks like S Jamal Adams will be the only player representing the New York Jets in this season's Pro Bowl. As of December 4th, 2019, he leads all NFL defensive backs with 142,676 votes. Adams, who was also selected to the Pro Bowl last year, was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week in Week 10 when he recorded two sacks against the Giants and returned a fumble for a touchdown.
If there’s one game remaining this season that head coach Adam Gase would love to win at all costs, it’s Sunday’s showdown against his former team, the Miami Dolphins. The Jets were expected to walk over Miami in Week 9, but instead they became the first team to lose to the winless Dolphins. The Dolphins, who were supposedly tanking this season to get the number one draft pick, have won two more games since then and are just one game behind the Gang Green in the division standings.
The New York Jets were on a roll, winning three straight against the NY Giants, the Washington Redskins, and the Oakland Raiders. It looked like they might have found something and could turn their season around.
If there was ever any doubt about Adam Gase leaving a mark in the New York Jets history books, he has already accomplished something that none of his predecessors ever could. Gase has become the first head coach in the NFL history to lose to two teams with a record of 0-7 or worse in the same season. Let that sink in…
