Admin - March 21, 2020

The New York Jets added more depth to their secondary and special teams on Saturday, as they agreed to terms with DB Marqui Christian on a 1-year deal. Christian, 25, spent his entire 4-year career with the Rams who picked him off waivers in 2016. He was drafted by the Cardinals in the 5th round of 2016 draft and waived just a few months later.

Christian played in 55 games for the Rams and started in one. He had 36 tackles (27 solo) and 2 pass defenses in 2019, while participating in 34% of all defensive snaps and 79% of snaps on special teams. The Rams primarily used him on special teams where he became one of the team's best performers.

Christian's one year deal is for $1.2M that can go up to $2M.

03/27 UPDATE: The Jets could not come to an agreement on final contract terms with Christian and the deal fell through.
