Jets trade Jamal Adams

Admin - July 25, 2020

S Jamal Adams wanted out of New York and he finally got his wish, as Jets GM Joe Douglas made a rather remarkable trade with the Seahawks. The Gang Green sent Adams to Seattle along with a 4th round pick in 2022. In return, the Jets received two first round picks (!!!) in 2021 and 2022, 3rd round pick in 2021 and S Bradley McDougald.

McDougald, 29, is a 7-year veteran who has started in 75 NFL games. Last season he recorded 70 tackles (52 solo), 0.5 sacks and 2 interceptions.

Hardly anyone expected the Jets to get so much for Adams (the Gang Green reportedly wanted a 1st and a 3rd round picks), especially after he pretty much forced the trade in the last few days when he spoke out against head coach Adam Gase and owner Woody Johnson. This is an amazing deal by Joe Douglas. Now we can only hope that the Gang Green use them to select future Pro Bowlers.
