WR Corey Davis, who's second on the team with 492 receiving yards, will undergo season ending core-muscle surgery tomorrow. Davis missed the game against the Texans two weeks ago but returned to the lineup yesterday, catching 2 passes for 15 yards. Davis was the team's arguably biggest free agent acquisition last offseason when he signed a 3 year deal for $37.M.
The Jets also signed PK Eddy Pineiro, as the Alex Kessman experiment miserably failed yesterday. Pineiro, 26, played 16 games for the Bears in 2019. He converted 23 of 28 field goal and 27 of 29 extra point attempts. Kessman, who was signed to replace Matt Ammendola, missed both extra point tries in the 33-18 loss against the Eagles yesterday.
