DT Sheldon Richardson, who was suspended for the first four games of regular season earlier this month, is in the news again. Earlier today he was charged in Missouri with resisting arrest along with a plethora of various other violations for an incident that occurred on July 14.

Jets TE Kellen Winslow has been suspended 4 games by the NFL for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances. He was suspended without pay, which means he will lose $197,647 in salary. Winslow, whom the Gang Green signed as a free agent before the start of this season, has a team-high 17 receptions for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns.

DE Shaun Ellis is expected to be suspended by the league for last year's incident with marijuana. On November 29th of 2008 the 10-year veteran was arrested in Morris County, NJ for possessing of less than 50 grams of marijuana, which is a disorderly person offense in New Jersey. Additionally, he was driving without insurance.
LB Calvin Pace has been suspended for the first four games of the 2009 NFL regular season for violating the league's performance-enhancing substance policy. He will be eligible to return for the Monday night game against the Miami Dolphins in Week 5.
New York Jets S Eric Smith was suspended for one game by the NFL on Monday for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin. Additionally, Smith was fined $50,000 for a flagrant violation of player safety rules. In a statement, the league said Boldin was in a defenseless position at the time contact was made.
