Jets become top 3 team in all power rankings

Admin - October 12, 2010

Following their dramatic win against the Minnesota Vikings, the New York Jets have moved into the top 3 in power rankings of all 3 major sports websites. ESPN moved them up to #3 (from #4 a week ago), while both FOX Sports and CBS Sports kept the Gang Green at #3. ESPN and FOX Sports have the Steelers and the Ravens ahead of the Jets, while CBS Sports has the Ravens and the Falcons occupying the two top spots.

Here's what the top 3 websites had to say about the Jets:

ESPN:  The addition of Santonio Holmes has loaded up the offensive options for Mark Sanchez.

FOX Sports: Another impressive victory on Monday night against the visiting Vikings. Even when starting QB Mark Sanchez doesn't play well, the Jets can rely on their outstanding running game, which is averaging a league-leading 165.2 yards per game. And now their defense is looking even better with the return of OLB Calvin Pace and CB Darrelle Revis. But Revis said he was hurting all game against the Vikings, so his hamstring could be an ongoing issue.

CBS Sports: They made it interesting against the Vikings in a game that didn't have to be that way. Word of warning this week in Denver: Be careful.
