Jets beat Lions, but still fall in ESPN power rankings

Admin - November 9, 2010

Both FOX Sports and CBS Sports raised the Jets' stock following their somewhat lucky win against the Detroit Lions. FOX Sports now has the Gang Green at #2 (up from #4 a week ago), while CBS Sports has them at #4 (up from #6). ESPN, on the other hand, dropped the Jets even further down. They now have the Jets at #5 (down from #4 a week ago).

Here's what the top 3 websites had to say about the Jets:

ESPN:  This is a stunner: Getting to the QB is becoming a problem for the Jets' defense.

FOX Sports: Could we see a New York based Super Bowl? I mentioned in previous updates that could be on the horizon. The Jets, like the Giants, don't have many weaknesses. And they found a way to win a game last week in which they were clearly outplayed. That's the sign of a good team.

CBS Sports: The best thing to come from their close victory over the Lions was the way Mark Sanchez played. They had to get more from that position.
