Jets fall back down in power rankings

Admin - November 15, 2011

The New York Jets went back down in the latest power rankings following their embarrassing loss to the New England Patriots. Surprisingly though, they did not lose too many spots. ESPN lowered the Gang Green's ranking by 3 points (from #11 to #14). FOX Sports had them down by only 2 points (from #9 to #11). Finally, CBS Sports moved the Jets down by 4 points (from #11 to #15).

Here's what the top 3 websites had to say about the Jets:

ESPN:  After being swept by New England, the Jets are aiming for a wild card.

FOX Sports: No shame in losing to the Patriots, but by this margin and at home says the Jets are not all the way back. Hard to jump on anyone's bandwagon in the AFC, but the Jets are proving to be too vulnerable on defense to be considered a front runner. We still have a number of questions about Mark Sanchez.

CBS Sports: They're in big trouble in the division. And now they have a long trip to Denver on a short week. Tough duty.
