Can Jets rise up in AFC East?

The New York Jets have been looking up at the New England Patriots for the past 20 years in the AFC East. Gang Green supporters have been forced to watch the Patriots dominate the NFL, winning six Super Bowls during the tenure of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. Even with Brady at the age of 41, the Patriots still secured Super Bowl LIII, defeating the Los Angeles Rams in Atlanta by a 13-3 scoreline. Although a past tormentor of the Jets - Rob Gronkowski - has retired, as long as Brady and Belichick remain in place no team in the AFC East will feel confident overhauling New England at the top of the division.

The Jets York Jets have found their new GM, as they reportedly agreed to a 6-year contract with Eagles executive Joe Douglas to become their general manager. When The Jets fired Mike Maccagnan on May 15, Jets chairman and CEO Christopher Johnson appointed head coach Adam Gase as the acting general manager and said he would “assist” in hiring Maccagnan's replacement. Gase and Douglas worked together previously for the Bears in 2015. Douglas will be the Jets' fourth GM in the last eight years.
